STUDIO MONTESSORI
ELEGANT & CREATIVE PRESCHOOL
Studio Montessori is an international school in the San Francisco design district welcoming infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. The founder, Zoe, believes that beauty needs to be accessible at the earliest age. The space creates an elegant, serene and creative atmosphere where children can experiment and learn.
The same attention to details was brought in to design the space as if it was destined to be occupied by adults. The space is inspired by Scandinavian and Japanese aesthetics with light wood and soft colors, giving a specific identity to the school and the opportunity to be adapted to potential future ones.
A special intention was put into partitions. Interior partitions were nonexistent in the new premises, and were needed to delimitate the classrooms and restrooms while allowing adults to be able to supervise the whole space at once. A privacy partition was designed for the street-facing facade, and also serves as a distinctive and recognizable sign.
